Unraveling A Gentleman

Fiona Gettys’ well ordered life is falling apart. After the death of her father, she discovers his secret life as a spy as well as the suspicion that he is a double agent for France. If her father is proven to be a traitor, Fiona will lose everything: her money, her home, her very respectability. She must prove that her father was no traitor, but the very piece of information she needs is mission. She needs his journal.
Robert Graham, left South Harting five years ago with training provided by Sir Arthur Gettys and feelings for his very young, very pretty daughter, Fiona. Having nothing to offer her, he distanced himself from her and threw himself into his work and his commission with the Government as a spy for England. With the looming invasion threat from Napoleon, and the death of his mentor, Sir Arthur, Robert returns to South Harting and to Fiona Gettys to discover the truth about Sir Gettys involvement with the French. Robert is certain that the journal he removed from the murder site contains proof that Gettys was not involved as a double agent as well as who the double agent is. The problem is that the journal is coded and he needs Fiona who was trained by her father to decipher the journal.
Someone does not want the information uncovered. There are repeated attempts to search the Gettys home for the journal and several attempts on Robert’s life as he searches for the information he seeks. As Robert and Fiona work together to discover the secrets of the journal, they fight the attraction they have for one another.
